Finder’s keepers doesn’t always mean it’s yours forever…
The small town of Grainsville is rocked one day when a brazen robbery takes place at a local bank. Three robbers come in wearing masks and when they attempt to leave with money from the safe, the guard neutralizes one but the other two get away. The cops spring into action and another is arrested but the money has disappeared!
Years before the bank robbery takes place, two boys named Chester and Rufus meet one summer and become firm friends. Their friendship will be tested, however, and unforeseen accidents will bring them together as adults.
When the money resurfaces, it throws lives into turmoil as the cops are still looking for it, the third bank robber is still out there, and the choice to spend it or hide it becomes tempting.
Don’t forget that stolen money comes at a price…
I hope to read more books like this one! I absolutely liked this title for two main reasons: the captivating premise that kept me engrossed in reading and wanting to solve the mysteries, and the fascinating descriptions made by the author allowed me to feel part of the story. The plot is unfold slowly so the reader can guess what will happen next. The writing style is impeccable, organized, agile and the characters are really well-developed. My only complaint is the length of the book; I would have liked to stay immersed in the lives of the protagonists a little longer. Anyway, the story has an unexpected and epic ending. I definitely hope to read more books like this one!
